Stéphane Rinderknech is a graduate from the Institut Supérieur de Gestion (ISG) in Paris and has spent 17 years at L’Oréal working in foreign markets, both in the Americas (4 years) and Asia Pacific (13 years). In 2001, he joined L’Oréal in Miami in Travel Retail as Lancôme Area Manager for South America and quickly became Division Manager for Biotherm and Helena Rubinstein in the Americas. In 2004, he was transferred to Japan as General Manager of Biotherm and then became Deputy General Manager of Lancôme. In 2008, he was promoted to lead L’Oréal Luxe in South Korea. In 2011, he started his L'Oréal China journey, first as General Manager of L’Oréal Luxe, then as Head of the Consumer Products Division in 2015. In 2016, he was promoted to CEO of L’Oréal China, the 3rd CEO in the 20-year history of L’Oréal in China. In 2017, the Shanghai Municipal Government awarded him with the “Silver Magnolia Award” to praise his contributions to city development. In Feb. 2018, Stéphane was appointed as a new member of the L’Oréal Group Executive Committee (effective from 1st March). Stephane is a strategist and a man who is close to the field and his team, a true generalist and a recognized leader gifted with great agility. Stéphane has also built a strong relationship of trust with his teams.
